Air Communication to Be Developed Between China and Slovenia

The State Secretary of Infrastructure Ministry Jure Leben had a meeting with the Head of the Chinese Civil Aviation Agency (CAAC) Feng Zhenglin in Beijing. During the meeting, the representatives of both countries continued negotiations on the establishment of air communication between Slovenia and China. The Infrastructure Ministry informs in its latest press release that the representatives of the Chinese Civil Aviation Agency demonstrated a positive reaction to the Slovenian initiative on launching scheduled flights between Slovenia and China and assured the Slovenian side in the absence of any reservations in future. Leben made a presentation to demonstrate the development potential of the Edvard Rusjan Airport in Maribor, which is operated by a Chinese company. The CAAC representatives mentioned that they would provide Slovenia with any technical assistance and support if needed in its activities aimed at developing the civil aviation in Slovenia. The negotiations on the air communication between two countries started four months ago, when the Infrastructure Minister Peter Gašperšič made an official visit to China in order to discuss the development of air and sea links.
