The International Fair of Agriculture and Food (AGRA) is the largest and the most significant food and agriculture fair in Central Europe. This year, it is held from 26 to 31 August in Slovenia’s Gornja Radgona and features fascinating exhibitions of farm animals and specimen crop plantations as well as numerous innovations provided by the agriculture and the food industry exhibitors. This August, around 1,700 exhibitors from 30 countries come to Slovenia to present their products under the “Traditionally Fresh!” slogan. The meeting of representatives from Central and Eastern European countries and the People’s Republic of China as part of the ‘16 + 1 initiative’ will become the core event of this year’s fair. The organizers of the AGRA 2017 mention that in the coming year, the fair will pay special attention to the issues of sustainable development in such industries as tourism, food production, farming, forest management, and agricultural techniques. China is invited to the fair as a partner country with a number of industry specific presentations.
