Dong Mingzhu is the Chairperson and President of Gree Electric Appliances Inc. She is considered to be one of the Top-10 economic figures in China. The Forbes describes her as the “Iron Lady” and the most outstanding woman in contemporary business world. On 10 and 11 October, she was a speaker at the EOQ Congress in Bled, Slovenia. During the 61st EOQ Congress, Dong Mingzhu participated in a plenary session called ‘Guarantee of Quality is the Social Responsibility for an Enterprise.’ She talked about the quality standards implemented by Gree Company and their impact on the industrial and national standards in China and abroad, as well as about the main economic opportunities for China and the CEE countries that can be derived from the Belt and Road initiative.
