During the first six months of 2017, Slovenia’s famous household appliances manufacturer Gorenje doubled its net profit to 4.4 million euros. At the same time, the sales revenue of Gorenje grew by 7.3% year-on-year to 623.9 million euros. According to the Ljubljana Stock Exchange data, the operating profit before depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of the Slovenia’s household appliance group increased by 12% to 40.6 million euros. Representatives of the Gorenje Company inform that they have enlarged the sales amount of major and small domestic appliances as well as premium class appliances and enhanced the geographical structure of sales. The most significant sales growth is recorded in the non-European markets (29%), followed by markets in Western Europe, Benelux, and Eastern Europe. Other strongly growing sales outlets are located in North America, Australia, Middle East, Asia and the Caucasus. A sales share of innovative devices among the large household appliances grew to 21.6% while the sales of premium appliances rose to almost 30%.
