Bohinj — This year, Bohinj hosts the International Wild Flower Festival. For the eleventh year in a row, this festival has been considered a certain introduction to the starting summer season. In 2017, Slovenia has prepared a number of novelties for its tourists, such as a dispersed hotel model. The Bohinj officials plan to surprise the guests of their valley with a wide choice of new projects, which have been already funded by the EU Parliament. This year’s development plan involves setting up 80 km of hiking paths, turning the Ukanc settlement into a Goldhorn country (Zlatorogova dežela), and preparing a catalogue of urban furniture. In the coming tourist season, Bohinj will follow Bled and become the second municipality of Slovenia to join the amazing constellation of Alpine Pearls, which includes 28 municipalities from 5 countries.
