Ljubljana — Last year, the record number of almost 121,000 cars was registered in Slovenia. According to the Statistics Office, this figure is 11% higher than in 2015. Almost three quarters of this amount belong to the private passenger vehicles (about 90,000 pieces), which is also 11% higher as compared to 2015. The number of buses newly registered in Slovenia grew by 28% and lorries — by 22%, trailers increased by 7%, while tractors dropped by 5%. The lion’s share of all newly registered vehicles belongs to the central statistical regions. Thus, one in seven cars was registered in the Ljubljana Municipality. Besides, one in nine registered vehicles was younger than three years. The achieved results demonstrate a stable and intense growth of economy in Slovenia.
