LJUBLJANA — Employers in Slovenia will continue hiring personnel in the third quarter of 2017. Even though the overall employment outlook is more depressed as compared to the first half of the year, it still shows constant growth. The net employment forecast for the third quarter 2017 makes 12% of growth as compared to a 22% increase in the second quarter 2017 and a 17% rise in the first quarter 2017. The newly released report shows that 13% of all surveyed employers are going to hire additional staff, 1% of employees are thinking of layoffs, and 83% plan to leave their headcount unchanged. The overall forecast remains positive within all ten industries, all regions of Slovenia, and companies of all sizes. The net employment record ranges from +18% in the sphere of logistics and communications to +16% growth in manufacturing, +11% in the hospitality industry and a 6% rise in the social sphere.
