LJUBLJANA — This month, the Government of Slovenia has discussed the Strategy of Sustainable Tourism Growth for 2017–2021. Following the discussion, the officials approved the new state programme on enhancing the inflow of foreign tourists to 3.7–4 billion euros within the next four years. The new tourism policy will rely on presenting Slovenia as a green, healthy and active tourist destination. The adopted strategy will target reorganisation of macroregions and tourism products of Slovenia as well as introduce changes into the institutional and legal sectors of tourism industry, renew accommodations, develop new trends in tourism infrastructure, provide human resource projects and spatial planning initiatives, preserve natural and cultural assets, and finally promote small and medium-sized enterprises.
