This week Slovenia takes part in the largest luxury travel event, which is held in Las Vegas, Nevada from 12 to 18 August. The Slovenian Tourism Board (STO) send its representatives to promote luxury tourism in the USA. They will join a group of more than 5,000 experts in tourism industry to promote Slovenia as a first-class destination for luxury travellers. During the Virtuso Travel Week, tourism experts from Slovenia will participate in 270 individual meetings. Besides, Slovenia is among nine countries that deserved an opportunity to meet with several of the event’s most influential media outlets, such as Conde Nast Traveler, Forbes, Travel+Leisure, Vogue, and El Pais. As a result of fruitful work on the global stage, STO expects an above-average 6.2% growth in luxury tourism in the coming years. It reports that currently over 64% of all luxury trips are taken by travellers from Europe and North America, while a significant growth in the number of luxury tourists is expected in Brazil, Russia, India, and China.
