LJUBLJANA – The Delo News Agency reports that the multichannel retailer Studio Moderna (a company belonging to one of the richest Slovenians) has recently purchased the Polish Mango Home Shopping TV channel and plans to expand its activities in Germany next year. According to Sandi Češko, the founder and manager of the Slovenian retailer, thanks to the purchase of the Mango Home Shopping TV channel from the US-Polish TVN network, Poland will become one of the largest retail markets for Studio Moderna in the nearest future. “Shortly before the crisis, we decided to outsource the management of our warehouse and packaging workshop, but the contractor did not cope with that task. After six months of the crisis, we took over the warehouse management, and today it is one of the best Russian logistics centers for direct sales,” Češko says. He also adds that recently the leaders of Studio Moderna have signed an agreement with Alibaba and a number of major Russian online companies. “We managed to turn the crisis into a good business,” Sandi Češko says. According to the head of the retail network, the crisis has already ended, and the company demonstrates double-digit sales growth, planning to reach a mark of 500 million euros by the end of this year. “We are gradually replacing the Russian market and next year we are planning to enter the German market,” Češko adds.
