Ikea is expected to launch its online store for Slovenia on 25 February and if coronavirus restriction allow it, the new brick-and-mortar store will open on the same day. The online store ikea.si has been accessible, allowing buyers to browse, meanwhile allowing for purchases as of February 25. A pick-up point will also open in Maribor on the same day.
Ikea initially planned to open its new store in Slovenia at the end of 2020, but it postponed due to the epidemic. The first Ikea store in Slovenia will be 31,000 square meters and will be selling some 9,500 items.
