Ljubliana — On Thursday, 18 May 2017, the Minister of Economic Development and Technology of Slovenia Zdravko Počivalšek stated in his interview to the Xinhua News Agency about Slovenia’s aspiration for establishing itself as one of the leading logistic hubs of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road in Europe. The Government of Slovenia is particularly interested in enhancing the land, sea and air communication with China. According to the Minister, this will improve both the bilateral tourism and people-to-people contacts between the two countries. Besides, Slovenia may face a number of significant opportunities in cooperation within the fields of digital and high-tech innovations.
