A 44-year-old chef from Slovenia Ana Ros starred on the Chef’s Table by Netflix last year. Her Hisa Franko Restaurant is nested in a picturesque valley just several miles from the border with Italy and attracts gourmands and food-lovers from all over the world with its original dishes: eel with pomegranate, tripe with fried nettles and fava beans, and foie gras and field chicory. In April this year, the former sportswoman Ana Ros was recognised as the World’s Best Female Chef according to the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. “The food was always fascinating to me, but I could not imagine that I would ever make it,” says Ana full of fresh ideas and plans for the future.
