Slovenian Students Developed an Application for Android

The students of the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technology of the University of Primorska, Tanja Štular and Tadej Vengust, developed the ‘Random Tweets’ application for the iOS and Android operating systems.

The app shows random messages (tweets) posted by Twitter users for the entertaining and informative purposes.

The application is available at the following links:

Google play (Android),

App store (iOS),

Website.

The application developers met at the last year’s Microsoft Imagine Cup contest. Then the team of the University of Primorska with the support of the Student Organisation of the University of Primorska (ŠOUP) won in the category of “Social Responsibility”, having presented the SayGoodbye application.

Tanja Štular and Tadej Vengust joined forces and called their duet the “TNT Development”. For more than 1 year of cooperation, they managed to develop the ‘Random Tweets’ application that is publicly available on the Internet.

The idea of developing a new application arose in the course of a student project, within which a content analysis of tweets data was carried out. The developers suddenly noticed that the tweets themselves were very interesting. As a result, Tanja focused on the application for iOS, and Tadej – for the Android platform.
