The Second Package of Measures to Support the Economy of Slovenia Is Signed

According to STA, representatives of economic associations called on Prime Minister Janez Janša and some ministers to consider preparing a second legal package of measures to assist Slovenia’s economy sector that would provide liquidity after production restarts. President of the Slovenian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GZS) Boštjan Gorjup estimated that this package should be worth three billion euros and should combine state guarantees to commercial banks, a much larger role for SID Bank and insurance for export claims and other transactions.

Following the constant dialog with the representatives of Slovenian business, on 2 April 2020, the Government adopted a new stimulus package that will become a firm support for the Slovenia’s economy and people during the coronavirus epidemic.
